Parking
Since parking is an issue for the condo complex I live in, you are asked to drop off your children at the parking lot and pick them up at their lesson times. If you have any questions that you would like to ask me, it is possible to park in the "Visitor" parking spots that are located in front of the circle as you come into the complex or outside the assigned parking spots.

At the studio
Please let your children know that it would be nice to take off their shoes when they come in for their lessons.
If the student arrives earlier for his/her lesson, please let them know that they should wait in the living room space until the student before them is done. It would be respectful to the following student to sit in the living room space quietly until the lesson is done.

Practice Guideline
Practice is essential to obtain the maximum benefit from each lesson. Students are encouraged to establish a regular daily practice time, seven days a week. Parental involvement is particularly critical for young students. Parents should help their children organize daily practice sessions, manage time, and keep practice times positive and free from disruption. The teacher will write the home work assignment for each week in the Piano Practice Booklet that was purchased at the beginning of the semester and will expect each student to finish her/his assignment till the next lesson. At the end of each school year there will be three trophy prizes awarded to first three students who practiced the most. Questions regarding home assignments are welcome at the end of the lesson, or parents can call or email during the week.

Evaluations
During the spring semester students are encouraged to participate in the Musical Achievement Evaluations held at the Steinert and Sons in Natick. At the evaluation each student will receive a written evaluation by a judge about her/his performance.

Recitals
Students are required to perform in at least one recital throughout the school year, in order to perform their pieces. Each student is encouraged to perform in as many student recitals as possible in order to improve her/his performance and polish the pieces that they worked throughout that semester. Since I am an active member of the New England Teacher's Association (NEPTA), my students are eligible to take part in the yearly recitals sponsored by this organization. Students who are working towards preparing for the competition are especially encouraged to participate in these recitals.

Master classes and Examinations
Students are encouraged to participate in the National Music Certificate Program (NMCP); students do not necessarily have to register for the yearly piano exams, even if they are following the NMCP program. If your child is interested in participating in the NMCP, please let me know. Since I am a member of the Concord Area Music School Association (CAMSA) that hosts several master classes, all students are encouraged to sign up for as many master classes as possible throughout the school year.

Agreement Form
Please print out the Agreement of Terms  and bring it to the first lesson.
